US Singles werden Re-Released

The following singles are the ones that BMG in the US will release in the fall of 2005. The plan is to make a box like the one that was released in the UK months ago. The singles in this upcoming box will also be released one per week like BMG UK did with their box. Out of Elvis' 18 number one hits in the UK did the box give Elvis 3 more number ones and 15 more top 3 hits. The US box will contain Elvis' 20 US Cashbox number one hits.

RE-RELEASE OF ELVIS' FIRST #1 SINGLE 'HEARTBREAK HOTEL'

CELEBRATING THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF ELVIS' FIRST RCA RECORDING SESSION

Celebrating the milestone 50th anniversary of Elvis Presley's first RCA recording session and first #1 hit 'Heartbreak Hotel,' the SONY BMG Strategic Marketing Group will release the deluxe 'Elvis #1 Singles' Box Set on January 24, 2006. The UK version of this box set caused frenzy among Elvis fans as they anxiously waited week to week for the release of the next single to build out their box set. The US version will release all 21 #1 US hits on 20 individual CD singles together in a limited edition, numbered collectors box set. (One of the 20 CD singles is a double A-side containing two #1 hits, 'Hound Dog' and 'Don't Be Cruel'). Each single will be individually packaged in a dynamic mini sleeve reflective of the original single artwork. Preserving the look of the original 45's, each CD will be pressed on black plastic with grooves to mimic vinyl.

Presley's famous first RCA Studios session, recorded just days after his 21st birthday, produced 'Heartbreak Hotel.' Recorded on January 10th and 11th in 1956, and released just a few weeks later, the epic single spent 8 weeks on the Billboard Top 100 chart at #1. The single crossed genres, topping the country charts for 17 weeks and reaching #3 on the R&B charts. Sony BMG commemorates the 50th anniversary of this legendary recording by re-releasing the 'Heartbreak Hotel' single on January 10, 2006. The single artwork will emulate that of the EP that was released in April of 1956, as well as the artwork of the original single that was released in a generic RCA paper sleeve.

Ich frag' mich nur warum 20 Singles in der BOX sind, obwohl Elvis in den US-Charts offiziell nur 18 No.1 Hits hatte (Nebencharts wie z.B. Country, Cashbox usw.) nicht mitgerechnet.

In The Ghetto erreichte Platz 3 und Burning Love erreichte Platz 2.

Diese Single ist Teil einer Serie welche vom äußeren Artwork alle sehr dem Original Artwork entsprechen, die CD Singles selber sehen dem Original Singles auch sehr ähnlich, eben nur etwas kleiner als die 7 inch.

Elvis erste RCA Studio Session, fand kurz nach seinem 21sten Geburtstag statt und in dieser nahm er auch Heartbreak Hotel auf. Aufgenommen am 10th und 11th Januar und veröffentlicht ein paar Wochen später, stand die Single 8 Wochen auf Platz 1 in den Billboard Charts. Diese Single war kurz gesagt der Renner in allen Charts und Sony BMG will hiermit den 50sten Geburtstag der legendären Single feiern.
