ISBN: 9798246929445Paul Belard´s nächstes Buch trägt den Titel "Elvis: Milton Berle Show - June 6 & 5 1956", hat 210 Seiten, erschien am 15.02.2026 und wird mit folgenden Worten angekündigt:
"Elvis’ legendary rendition of “Hound Dog” delighted the fans. It still does. However, it enraged the critics. One described his exhibition as “tinged with the kind of animalism that should be confined to dives and bordellos.” Another explained with a suggestion of racism that Elvis “makes up for vocal shortcomings with the weirdest and plainly suggestive animation short of an aborigine’s mating dance.”

Das 131 Seiten starke und von Dave Tayler verfasste Buch "The Imperials: Years Of Impact 1968 - 1971" erschien erst als Kindle-Edition und ist demnächst als Paperback Edition in der Ankündigung.

"Gospel music underwent great changes in the late 1960s with numerous influences from the secular music field becoming prominent in both studio recordings and live performances. Southern Gospel Music was changing from the standard four-part harmony with simple piano accompaniment to sophisticated arrangements and recordings.
The Imperials, while continuing to present songs with a clear gospel message, began to introduce vocal arrangements akin to those of numerous secular vocal groups who were at the time topping the popular charts.
