Du vemischt da im Titel bereits zwei verschiedene Titel:
1) The King, McQueen And The Love Machine
2) Elvis And The Beauty Queen

Hi Lea!
Thank you for the opportunity to answers these questions for your Elvis site. First, I don't have any pictures of E and myself as he was married and I was an upcoming "starlet" so we were very careful not to have any taken together. I wish I'd insisted on one for my personal use but I wasn't smart enough to ask.
Secondly, I'd love to have you link to my site BarbaraLeigh.com
Now to answer your questions best I can, as there are some risqué questions here (smile).
HOW DID YOU MEET ELVIS?
I met Elvis in Las Vegas with Jim Aubrey when Jim Aubrey (I called him James) took me to see E's show at the Hilton. We were invited back stage to meet the King. Jim Aubrey was the president of MGM studios and produced a film called "That's The Way It Is" starring "E", a documentary of sorts.
I couldn't believe that I was going to meet him, as I'd ALWAYS adored Elvis since the first time I saw him on the Ed Sullivan show.
I think I was in the 2nd or 3rd grade but I still knew enough to think that the man I was watching was special. I tried to emulate some of his moves and was quickly sent to bed.
Elvis was changing his clothes so he wasn't in the main room at first. I sat down in the middle of the room at a round table next to Chris Nelson, Rick's wife and Jim Aubrey. The room had a lot of people mostly celebrities and friends that came to pay their respect to the King. Jim Aubrey and Chris both got up to talk to others in the room leaving me there at the table. I had my back to Elvis's door leading to his direct changing room. I felt a presence then turned around to see Elvis sitting in a chair staring directly into my eyes.
He never looked away, not ever to acknowledge anyone but me while I was there except later when James came over to interrupt us.
He asked me my name, paid me numerous compliments and asked me if he could call me. Of course I was totally overwhelmed and said yes. At the same moment he handed me under the table a tiny, thin pencil and a small piece of paper. I quickly jotted down my number and handed it back to him. As we did this our hands touched one another, he squeezed my hands and smiled at the same time. I felt a bolt of lighting shoot through my body.
I felt if I'd died right there, I would have been happy, cause I got to meet the King, and he held my hands. Jim Aubrey must have felt the connection between Elvis and me and wanted us to leave. I didn't want to budge; I needed to be pinched to know I was alive because I was in a trance. Elvis was gorgeous, the MOST beautiful man I'd ever seen. And when he smiled the whole world lit up for me. He was gracious to James and invited us back to see his show.
Elvis was and will ALWAYS be the King to me in everyway. His kindness and love for others is a legacy to us all!
DID HE TAKE IT FOR GRANTED A WOMAN WOULD HAVE SEX WITH HIM?
I don't think that Elvis thought in the terms of every woman having or wanting to have sex with him. If he wanted to have sex with a woman she knew it and if the feeling was mutual then he acted on that. Maybe, every women he met wanted to have sex with him but I doubt it because in the end he wasn't into sex that much but more into religion, teaching and sharing his thoughts with anyone who wanted to listen. He loved being the teacher, sharing his knowledge of his favorite books with his pupils.
WAS HE SADISTIC OR PASSIVE IN HIS LOVEMAKING?
Regarding Elvis as a lover, I can honestly say that he was neither sadistic nor passive. He was a man making love to his woman at that time, and he was a passionate lover when he wanted to be. He was the BEST KISSER of any man I've ever kissed.
WAS HE AN EGO MANIAC BETWEEN THE SHEETS?
Not sure I understand this question. He was an egomaniac at ALL times, as most who walked in his shoes would be.
WAS HE INTO ANYTHING KINKY?
Elvis was a straight lover and I never experienced anything kinky not even bed-talk. He was a good-ole-Southern-boy who had personal morals that as far as I'm concerned shown through even in bed & his love making.
DID HE A CULTURAL PREFERENCE?
This question I'm not sure of. I think he liked brunette white women but the discussion never came up, thank God.
DID HE A BODY PART FAVORITE?
I think that Elvis loved the face on a woman the most. He always said that the eyes were the mirror of the soul and I believe this too.
He loved eyes and said that one could tell a lot about a person from their eyes. He complimented me on my eyes.
WAS HE INTO ANYTHING SPECIFIC LINGERIE?
He loved white panties. He told me a story of when he was young and wrestling with a young girl on the lawn and he saw her white panties. It was a turn on for him and from that time he loved lingerie & white panties. He loved pretty nightgowns too.
WHAT DID HE DO AFTER SEX?
As I remember Elvis after sex he was funny, very humorous. We usually lay in bed talking with Elvis showing off his new toys. He was like most people loving, affectionate and attentive. We didn't smoke.
HOW DID IT END?
We eventually moved on, as my schedule wouldn't allow me the freedom to be at his beckon call. With Elvis, it was a matter of timing, and if one was available when he wanted to see you. We stayed friends until the end, always through Joe Esposito who was the intermediate with most of Elvis's girls.
Lea, I hope this answers some of your questions. I dated Elvis in 1970,1971 & 1972 then we remained friends. The last time I saw Elvis was in 1976 or thereabouts in Las Vegas.
HE WILL FOREVER LIVE IN MY HEART!
Take care! Barbara Leigh

One Lady's Journey
Barbara Leigh has put forth an honest, even brutally so at times epilogue of her journey with three fascinating world famous men. Her ability to honestly review each of her relationship's in the context of themselves and relationship to each other is a unique ability.
Each relationship was obviously both important and singular to her. Each provided Elvis Presley, Steve McQueen and Jim Aubrey the ability to be with a woman who truly appreciated them while not becoming losing herself in their celebrity.
Barbara's honest comments for both her triumph's and tragedy's while not hiding under any false pretense is a fresh and welcome relief endearing the reader to her. A true "free soul" in the '70's, her journey in and out of these three remarkable lives, some at the same time is a honest commentary on the times she lived in and the social mores at the time.
I had thought I knew as much of Elvis as anyone. Her book however showed me certain facets of his personality and soul which only added to my knowledge while teasingly enticing me to find out more. I did, still learning of his personality and values through her adventures. Her written observations of of Steve McQueen shows a man vuneralble in many ways, much against the "macho" persona I had come to believe. Her involvement with Jim Aubrey I found to the most complex yet saddest of the the three. This I found out not to be any fault of Barbara's but complete the result of his possessive nature and control minded attitude.
Barbara, while providing no commentary in the Hemingway tradition , has offered a frank and honest portrayal of herself and her times. It offers a true reflection of our society and how her personal growth has grown to allow her more confidence in herself and her unique evaluations of herself and those around her. As a result both Barbara and the reader find themselves feeling much better about themselves at the end of reading this interesting and fascinating book.
The King, McQueen, and the Love Machine
I have been a Barbara Leigh fan for MANY years now. Her life story has been so fantastic and exciting, that it should not only be a book, but a major motion picture. She has not only seen the world, but has met some of the very people that have shaped history. When I first heard about this book, I thought it was only going to cover the part of her life that took place in the early 70's. But it was so much more.
From her childhood to current times. And her life story is just one adventure after another. This book is a must for anyone that is an Elvis, or Steve McQueen fan. It has such insight to what they were like when not in the public's eye. As I mentioned before, Barbara's life has had some very interesting twists in it. But to see how she handles three of the most powerful men that the entertainment industry has ever known, all at once, is just too exciting.....
Hope you enjoy this book as much as I have.
A Story of A Women's Survival in Hollywood
have just finished reading Barbara Leigh's book for the second time. As the other reviews stated, it is hard to put down once you start reading, it is just so absorbing. One of the comments I would like to add to the other fine reviews is the fact that I, as a woman who has had many struggle in life, found great triumph in Barbara's story. Here is a woman from a sad childhood who made it through modeling, Hollywood, movies and powerful men without ever turning to crutches like Alcohol or drugs, much like many of her peers. This is a true story of a women's survival in a preliminary mans world. And I would like to point out, that while Barbara is still strikingly beautiful and still has a successful career...Elvis, Jim Aubrey and Steve McQueen are gone...two from either drugs or alcohol, and McQueen sadly from cancer. So here's to you Barbara. A life of beauty, fame, fun and sorrow all exquisitely told and elegantly lived...
