We have received today a preview copy of the upcoming DVD "The Final Days", this disc features 3 complete shows, including the very last concert Elvis ever gave in Indianapolis,IN. After more than 25 years, this rare original Indianapolis 8mm amateur footage of June 26th, 1977 concert will be featured on DVD with the audio and video digitally remastered. The total time of the Indianapolis concert is 52 minutes. Also featured on this DVD are the Omaha, NE June 19th '77 show, the Rapid City, June 21st '77 and the "Official CBS Special". The quality is at least just as good as it was released back then on the Import video tapes. Everyone knows the content of the CBS ' 77 footage so we are listing only the Indianapolis ' 77 footage featured on this DVD:
The show starts with a good close up as Elvis enters the building, and starts with See See rider. Followed by I Got A woman - Amen/ Love me / Fairy tale/ You Gave Mountain / Jailhouse rock / O solo Mio (by Nielsen) - It's Now Or Never/ Little Sister/ Teddy Bear/ Please release me / I Can't Stop Loving You / Bridge Over Troubled water (reading the lyrics from paper)/ Early Morning rain / What'd I Say/ Johnny B. Goode (Burton is playing the guitar behind his neck)/ I Really Don't Want To Know / Hurt/ Hound Dog/ Vernon On Stage/ and Can't Help Falling In Love.
Also on this DVD you have 2 CBS Specials from August, including the TV special from the day Elvis passed away, hosted by Geraldo Rivera. The quality on this one is not that good, but still interesting to have. We will add the cover of this DVD as soon as we received it.

Wow! da freue ich mich echt drauf!
Die VCD´s die kursieren waren ja schon recht gut und wenn nun echt die ORIGINAL Bänder benutzt worden sind für ne Transfer auf DVD plus die gute Audience CD die existiert...mmmh...könnte echt was tolles werden und vor allem, wer die Show kennt und weiß wie klasse Elvis da drauf ist eine Woche nach Omaha!!

Ich tippe mal auf einen durchschnittlichen VCD Transfer auf DVD. Das CBS Material hört sich leider auch nicht so berauschend an
Ich werde erstmal abwarten, denn ich habe keine Lust, für das immer gleichschlechte Material mein Geld auszugeben.

Indy hin oder her, ich hab eine ordentliche VCD der Show. Wenn das CBS Material nicht in besserer Quali als auf der "The CBS Tapes" daherkommt, brauch ich das Teil nicht.

Da greife ich lieber zur "That's live" DVD, auf der wenigstens das Special in guter Quali veröffentlicht wurde

..oh ja das Bild dort ist echt toll! ich war auch sehr beeindruckt als ich da mal reinsehen konnte!
