es gibt doch die Elvis Presley Music Inc. und manchmal steht unter den elvis songs auch die Gladys Music Inc.

Was hat es damit auf sich? War das eine Untergruppierung der Elvis Music Inc oder eine eigene Firma? Ich geh mal davon aus, das der name schon mit elvis' mutter zu tun hat, oder?

ELVIS PRESLEY MUSIC, INC.

One of several publishing companies owned by Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker. Together, they received half of its royalties. It was a subsidiary of Hill and Range Music, Inc., which had established it at the request of Colonel Parker. Affiliated with BMI, Elvis Presley Music and Gladys Music, another subsidiary of Hill and Range, were set up in order to receive partial royalties from the composers of Elvis's songs who wrote for Hill and Range. It was Parker's idea that the composer's should pay part of their royalties to Elvis Presley Music, Inc., for the privilege of having Elvis record one of their songs. Elvis sold part of Elvis Presley Music in the late 1960s back to Hill and Range because he needed the money. After Elvis's divorce, Priscilla ended up with 5 percent of the publishing company.
