Wobei diese Tafeln früher, mit den aufgesteckten Buchstaben, viel cooler waren als diese digitalen. Ich denke da an die Tafeln aus Las Vegas (wie man es z.B. in This Is Elvis sieht oder TTWII (da sieht man ja sogar, wie sie angesachraubt wurden)).

Peter Verbruggen, President of the Elvis Matters Fan Club, recently did a review of the 2012 Elvis Presley in Concert Tour that is currently on tour now in Europe. He also shared some of the great photos he took at the Rotterdam concert that can now be seen in our photo gallery. Below is Peter’s review:

Elvis Presley in Concert Rocks Europe
Cheering crowds, excited fans and the king on three huge screens in some of the biggest arenas - ‘Elvis Presley In Concert’ is back in Europe! The show that reunites original Elvis musicians live on stage with the king on big screens behind them is currently touring Switzerland, Belgium, The Netherlands, UK, Germany, Denmark and France. Tens of thousands of fans saw the magic of Elvis in the first leg of the three week tour. Highlights of the 2012 tour’s song lineup are a fantastic – a powerful “How Great Thou Art” + reprise (standing ovation every time!), “Polk Salad Annie” (with Norbert ‘Put’ Putnam on violin bass) and of course “Johnny B. Goode” with the extra solos. Elvis sure knew how to pick his band. After all these years, they are still rocking nations all over the continent. A special word of appreciation for Joe Guercio and his orchestra – including another ‘original’ Ron Feuer on organ – the Sweet Inspirations, with Kelly Jones as their new special member – and Elvis’ Imperials, who still give fans goose bumps with their unmatched acapella version of Elvis’s favorite gospel “Sweet Sweet Spirit.” Even in 15,000 seater buildings, one can hear a pin drop when Elvis’ Imperials take center stage to do their signature song.

Some media reports in the different European countries focused on Elviss never ending popularity and the new generations that discover his music through these arena concerts. No doubt that 2012 is the Year of Elvis. With Elvis Presley in Concert bringing together so many fans in Europe, we couldn’t have asked for a better start. We, in Europe, are ready for Elvis Week 2012!
